The 3rd Army Area Medical has a concern about public health and warning prevention in the forests, mountains, or border areas.

Research and development on telecommunications technology, the geo-informatics system for public health, and warning prevention in the forests, mountains, or border areas received the first award for outstanding research in the main category from the Royal Thai Army in 2015 and the excellent research and innovation award from the Ministry of Defense in 2016. This project integrates geo-informatics technology with survey research findings on insect vectors that analyze the DNA of pathogens of the Royal Thai Army Medical Science Research Institute (NSTDA) and develop it into a
Web Application System. A prototype system of mapping areas at risk of vector-borne fever used as a warning tool for
self-defense from tick-borne disease, fleas, lice, and mites for troops operating in border areas.

The 3’d Army Area Medical has seen health problems of personnel, families, people, and tourists, especially in theforests, mountains, or border areas. Therefore, The 3’d Army Area Medical recommends using the Web Application forproviding information on the location of areas at risk of vector-borne fever and how to prevent infection and monitor the situation, surveillance, and alert people and tourists. The soldiers on missions can get information, be aware of the disease situation, protect themnselves from infection, and avoid risk areas quickly, more modern, and spacious.

They can scan the QR Code to use the Web Application Map of the locations at risk of vector-borne fever V 2.0.
