โรงเรียนนานาชาติลานนา (Lanna International School Thailand) เตรียมพร้อมจัดการแข่งขันหุ่นยนต์ระดับภูมิภาค “VEX IQ – Battle of the North”
วันเสาร์ที่ 29 พฤศจิกายน 2568 เวลา 08.00–15.30 น. ณ โรงเรียนนานาชาติลานนา จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ Mr Neil Matthews, Head of School ร่วมกับ Mr Rassam Farddoust, School STEAM Coordinator ของโรงเรียนนานาชาติลานนา (Lanna International School Thailand) เปิดเผยว่า รายการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ ได้รับการรับรองอย่างเป็นทางการจาก REC Foundation สำหรับนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษา
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะของเยาวชนไทยในด้าน หุ่นยนต์ การเขียนโปรแกรม และนวัตกรรมดิจิทัล รวมถึงเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้และพัฒนาทักษะสำคัญแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 อาทิ การทำงานเป็นทีม การแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ และการออกแบบเชิงวิศวกรรม พร้อมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างสถานศึกษาและภาคอุตสาหกรรมในภาคเหนือ
การแข่งขัน “VEX IQ – Battle of the North” จัดขึ้นภายใต้มาตรฐานสากลของ REC Foundation โดยมีการแข่งขันทั้งในรอบคัดเลือก กิจกรรม Skills Challenge และรอบชิงชนะเลิศ พร้อมการมอบรางวัลให้กับทีมที่มีผลงานยอดเยี่ยมทั้งด้านเทคนิคและความคิดสร้างสรรค์
ภายในงาน โรงเรียนได้เชิญแขกผู้มีเกียรติจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคอุตสาหกรรม เทคโนโลยี สตาร์ตอัป และมหาวิทยาลัยต่าง ๆ เข้าร่วมชมการแข่งขันและแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาเยาวชนในสายอาชีพ STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) รวมถึงมีผู้แทนจากสื่อมวลชนเข้าร่วมทำข่าวและบันทึกภาพตลอดทั้งวัน
ทั้งนี้ การเข้าร่วมงาน ไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย
ความสำคัญของกิจกรรม
นักเรียนในภาคเหนือของประเทศไทยกำลังพัฒนาทักษะด้านหุ่นยนต์ วิศวกรรม และการเขียนโปรแกรมอย่างก้าวกระโดด
กิจกรรมนี้จะเป็นเวทีเชื่อมโยงระหว่าง การศึกษาและภาคอุตสาหกรรม ช่วยแสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของเยาวชนไทยในการคิด วิเคราะห์ และสร้างนวัตกรรม ซึ่งเป็นทักษะที่ตลาดแรงงานยุคใหม่ต้องการอย่างแท้จริง

ส่วนนักเรียนที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันจะได้พัฒนาทักษะสำคัญหลากหลายด้าน ได้แก่ การแก้ปัญหา ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ การทำงานเป็นทีม การคิดเชิงออกแบบ กระบวนการทางวิศวกรรม และเทคโนโลยีหุ่นยนต์

Lanna International School to Host Regional Robotics Competition “VEX IQ – Battle of the North,” Showcasing Northern Thailand’s Young Innovators
Chiang Mai, Thailand — Lanna International School Thailand will host the regional robotics competition “VEX IQ – Battle of the North”, an official event sanctioned by the REC Foundation for middle school students.
The competition will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Lanna International School, Chiang Mai.
The event aims to strengthen students’ skills in robotics, coding, and digital innovation, while fostering creativity, teamwork, and engineering design thinking. It also serves as a platform to connect education and industry, promoting collaboration between schools, universities, and the private technology sector in Northern Thailand.
The “VEX IQ – Battle of the North” will feature qualification matches, skills challenges, and final rounds under official REC Foundation standards.
Distinguished guests from government, industry, manufacturing, and academic institutions have been invited to attend and exchange perspectives on developing youth in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
Media representatives will also be present to cover the event throughout the day.
